Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Development Director to lead strategy across HDR geographies. This role works with leadership to drive top-line growth by coordinating market sector initiatives and client development across HDR’s Water Business Group.

The ideal candidate has extensive drinking water planning and engineering experience, strong client relationships, and a proven ability to win major projects across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience with a track record in drinking water planning and engineering design.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams on client-focused projects.
• Experience in sales, win strategies and building long-term client relationships.
• Professional engineering registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of drinking water market-sector strategies across HDR geographies.
• Act as Client Manager for key clients and pursue leader on select opportunities.
• Promote HDR services and coordinate with Regional leadership to drive growth.
• Support staff development, recruitment planning, and resource allocation.
• Travel to engage with clients and participate in industry activities.
