Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Business Development Director to drive growth across HDR geographies. The role leads pursuit strategies, client development and marketing of HDR services to drinking water clients, coordinating with leadership and multiple regions to expand services globally.

The position requires deep experience in drinking water planning and a bachelor’s in civil/environmental engineering, with professional registration and a track record of leadership and market

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience in drinking water planning, engineering design, client development and project management.
• Professional engineer registration and a bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering.
• Proven ability to cultivate client relationships and win strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies for Drinking Water Market Sector across HDR geographies.
• Serve as Client Manager for key clients and act as Pursuit Leader on select opportunities.
• Lead marketing and delivery of HDR services to Drinking Water clients.
• Support and coordinate with Market Sector leadership to drive international growth.
• Mentor staff, manage talent and participate in industry leadership roles.
