Job summary

Ryan Transportation, part of Shamrock Trading Corporation, seeks a Carrier Sales Representative with drayage experience to grow and support intermodal and port-related freight operations in the U.S. and Canada.

You will prospect, qualify, and secure drayage carriers and maintain strong carrier relationships. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious and outgoing, with a proven sales background and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with drayage, port terminals, or intermodal rail operations strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in a proactive sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and qualify new carriers to expand Ryan Transportation’s drayage network.
• Negotiate transactional drayage rates to support customer freight opportunities.
• Secure carrier capacity for live and drop container moves.
• Coordinate logistics activity, including scheduling arrival dates and delivery appointments.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure timely execution and high service levels.
• Maintain accurate carrier records, compliance documentation, and system updates.
• Actively participate in transportation bids for current and prospective clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
