Job summary

Ryan Transportation, part of Shamrock Trading Corporation, is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to prospect, qualify and onboard carriers across the United States and Canada. Based in Overland Park, KS, this role focuses on building a robust carrier network and delivering value to shippers.

You’ll develop relationships, negotiate rates, manage load coordination and bids, and contribute to profitability while upholding our service standards in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred.
• Proactive sales experience with track record of building relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Solicit prospective carriers to join our carrier network.
• Develop long-term relationships with shippers and carriers.
• Grow under-performing client accounts and maximize profitability.
• Build and manage an existing carrier network to meet shipper needs.
• Improve customer service, transit times, and transportation costs.
• Coordinate logistics, schedule arrivals and delivery appointments.
• Track and trace orders and complete load-related paperwork.
• Participate in transportation bids for current and prospective clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
