Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to support downstream processing technologies across the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast region. Remote-based with extensive customer interaction, you will translate process requirements into product and workflow recommendations, run validation studies, and train customers on new technologies to drive adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in application/technical support, field applications, or downstream processing roles.
• Experience in biologics manufacturing; exposure to cell/gene therapy is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support evaluations, trials, and training translating process requirements into product/workflow recommendations.
• Design and coordinate customer-specific evaluation plans, onboarding, and outcomes for downstream systems.
• Troubleshoot inquiries and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders to protect productivity.
• Contribute technical insights during opportunity development and portfolio enhancement.
• Document findings and recommendations; train customers on new technologies; travel as needed.
