Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Application Specialist to translate process requirements into product recommendations and to support customer evaluations and trainings in the life sciences sector.

You will execute trials, troubleshoot issues, and provide senior technical guidance across Sales, Product Management and Quality. The role requires substantial travel and strong cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on customer success and solution optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in process development, MSAT, bioprocessing in biotechnology, biopharmaceutical industry or CDMO manufacturing environment or field experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge (1+ years) in TFF, UF/MF/DF, NFF, Viral Filtration and Clarification products with experience in optimization and process scaling, familiarity with life science application experiment technology.

Responsibilities

• Translate process requirements into product and workflow recommendations to accelerate product adoption.
• Design, coordinate and document customer-specific evaluation and onboarding plans to increase implementation success rates.
• Troubleshoot customer processes and coordinate corrective actions to protect productivity.
• Provide technical insights and recommendations for customer use cases to improve solution fit.
• Analyze field data and share actionable recommendations with Product Management for portfolio enhancements.
• Support training of Field Application Specialists and the Sales organization on assigned technologies.
• Ensure customer training on new technologies and support start-up operations.
