Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a technical sales professional with strong downstream purification experience to drive opportunities for multi-use and single-use downstream hardware and related services in the Midwest US & Canada.

You will manage the full sales cycle, coordinate with MSAT and local account managers, and provide technical quotes while negotiating terms with customers and budgets in mind.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• 5+ years related hands-on downstream purification experience in biopharma.
• Experience with automated systems.
• Extensive knowledge of biotech downstream processing.
• Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead a team and manage complex investments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and convert new business opportunities including Multi-Use and Single-Use for Downstream Hardware Systems (TFF-Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration, Chromatography, Clarification, Viral Clearance) and related services within your region.
• Manage the overall selling process and cycle, in close relationship with account managers and MSAT teams.
• Develop and present commercial and technical quotations to customers at all decision layers and negotiate terms.
• Lead custom designed equipment and capital projects and coordinate with internal partners.
• Travel 30-40% domestically to customer locations in Midwest US & Canada.
