Job summary

Tuff Shed is seeking a DOT & Fleet Program Administrator in a role that blends compliance oversight with hands-on fleet administration. The position offers a hybrid schedule with two days remote work and three days in-office, requiring strong DOT knowledge and meticulous recordkeeping.

The role involves maintaining driver files, coordinating trainings, managing access to ELD devices, and producing weekly compliance reports.

Qualifications

• Understanding of current government DOT regulations (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with experience in DOT/Safety reporting and tracking systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in various forms.
• Ability to prepare professional written correspondence and reports for Tuff Shed.
• Effective communication at all levels, including customers, partners, suppliers, peers, managers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Administers DOT program and maintains driver files in Fleet-worthy portal.
• Manages driver training modules and assigns access to ELD devices.
• Reviews HOS reports and coordinates corrective actions and training for compliance.
• Guides management on onboarding DOT drivers and required paperwork.
• Generates weekly expiration reports for licenses, medical certificates, and MVRS; coordinates exams.
• Manages driver training for DOT drivers and their managers.
• Collaborates with IT, HR, and Stores on new hires, terminations, and access control.
• Completes FMCA, UCR and state reports as needed.
• Assists stores and drivers with fuel card profile management and PINs.
• Provides fleet program analysis to leadership and participates in fleet recommendations.
• Serves as backup to Program Director for repairs, transfers, registrations, and inspections.
