Job summary

SBA in Arlington, VA is seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator to strengthen and grow relationships with mid-level donors. You will craft personalized experiences to deepen engagement and foster long-term philanthropic growth.

As a key member of our Development team, you will manage stewardship strategies, track donor activity, and collaborate to move donors into the major gifts pipeline. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Virtuous or similar donor CRMs preferred.
• Natural relationship-builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented with strong follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement stewardship strategies to communicate donor impact.
• Manage moves management for a portfolio of mid-level donors ($1,000–$4,999).
• Coordinate donor thank-you calls and appreciation efforts.
• Engage donors to understand motivations and goals.
• Track and report donor activity to ensure strategic cultivation.
• Collaborate to identify donors ready for major gifts pipeline.
• Prepare donor profiles from research to inform outreach.
• Maintain accurate donor records across the Development team.
