Job summary

The Salvation Army in Southern California is seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator to implement administrative and donor-related activities for mid-level donor development. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, steward and upgrade donors toward major giving levels, working with the Development team to drive fundraising strategy.

This exempt role involves donor communication, data entry into the donor database, coordinating stewardship materials and events, and supporting annual fund campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience, plus 3–5 years in nonprofit fundraising.
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop relationships with donors and leadership.
• Strategic thinker with initiative and follow-through.
• Willingness to travel and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and solicit mid-level donors to increase giving levels.
• Acknowledge donors with timely communications and receipts.
• Collaborate with Development leadership to implement stewardship plans.
• Create donor recognition and stewardship materials.
• Coordinate year-end fundraising and donor communications.
• Enter donor data into the CRM and prepare reports.
• Plan and support donor events and engagement activities.
