Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking a Donor Services Trainer to develop and document training for apheresis, special donations, and routine blood collections. This role ensures compliance with FDA/AABB standards and maintains training records for audits and inspections.

The position involves on-floor duties as needed, and travel to fixed-site centers to deliver programs and support staff across locations. CPR instruction and training updates are core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of blood collection experience.
• CPR Instructor certification preferred or may be obtained after hire.
• General knowledge of Hematology.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow SOP in a heavily regulated environment.
• Ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides training and development for staff performing donor collections.
• Obtains and maintains CPR instructor certification and provides CPR training for new hires and existing staff.
• Provides remedial training as indicated by Donor Services management.
• Assists with training-related issues during inspections/audits.
• Performs departmental audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assists with daily collection QC reviews and on-floor collection duties when required.
• Travels to fixed site centers as needed for training.
