Job summary

CSL Vifor Johnston, RI is seeking a Donor Screening Associate to greet donors and verify eligibility in a busy plasma collection center. You will guide donors through registration and the screening process, following SOPs and safety protocols.

The role requires performing health checks, collecting samples, recording data accurately, and educating donors on procedures and safety. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history assessment and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature and finger-stick sampling for hematocrit and total protein.
• Educate donors on the screening process, center policies, nutrition and information about donor-derived products.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed based on training and center needs.
• Answering telephone calls and routing inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information and record donor data in the electronic system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills as needed.
