Job summary

Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern CT in Windsor, CT seeks a Donor Relations and Event Specialist to grow support through fundraising campaigns, donor relationships, and events. Qualifications

• Experience with a donor database or fundraising CRM, including maintaining records, pulling reports, and using data to guide your work.
• Strong event planning and administrative skills, with the ability to manage many moving pieces and meet deadlines.
• Clear writing and communication skills, including the confidence to make outreach calls and speak with prospective donors.
• A natural ability to build relationships and follow up without needing to be reminded.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility when plans change and a willingness to pitch in where needed.
• A genuine connection to our mission and an interest in the people and programs your work supports.
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, event management, or a related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate donor records and use our fundraising database to support outreach, acknowledgments, reporting, and campaign planning.
• Research prospective donors, review giving history, and help identify opportunities to build and strengthen relationships.
• Coordinate fundraising appeals and campaigns, including donor lists, communications, timelines, and follow-up.
• Make introductory outreach calls to prospective donors and community partners; schedule and participate in donor visits and other opportunities to share our mission.
• Help create a thoughtful donor experience through timely acknowledgments, personal communication, and ongoing stewardship.
• Plan and coordinate signature events, including sponsor and donor logistics, vendors, volunteers, registration, event materials, and day-of details.
• Track event and campaign results and help identify what worked and where we can improve.
• Work with colleagues across our programs to understand and communicate the impact of Easterseals’ work.
• Represent Easterseals at events and in the community, building connections with people who want to support our mission.
