Job summary

ACH Child & Family Services is seeking a Development Specialist to coordinate and oversee the logistics for internal and external events that raise funds and awareness for the agency. You will work directly with donors, committee members, and the public to support donor stewardship and recognition activities.

Bachelor's degree preferred; 1‑3 years nonprofit or event experience is ideal. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, with donor management software experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with nonprofit or special event experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit, special event or similar environment is preferred.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint; donor database experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating community engagement outreach and events with emphasis on logistics.
• Support donor stewardship activities and recognition events.
• Coordinate in-kind donations and drives (school supplies, baskets, gifts, tickets).
• Build community relationships and support agency visibility at events.
• Assist with mailings, e-newsletters, and donor communications.
• Support volunteer program including data entry and records.
