Job summary

Catalight seeks a mission-driven Development Specialist to independently lead development and fundraising initiatives across Easterseals NC and affiliates. You will cultivate donors, manage sponsorships, and execute events while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance the organization's impact.

You will analyze donor performance, recommend strategies, and travel 20–25% across California, supporting development across the network with discretion and strategic judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (marketing or communications focus preferred), fundraising, or a related field; or 4+ years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience in non-profit fundraising, development, relationship management, event planning, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing projects, donor relationships, or fundraising initiatives with general supervision.
• Experience interpreting fundraising and donor data, identifying trends and opportunities, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage assigned fundraising and stewardship initiatives to strengthen donor engagement and revenue.
• Evaluate opportunities and recommend approaches aligned with organizational priorities and donor interests.
• Manage donor, sponsor, and foundation relationships and coordinate engagement plans.
• Coordinate fundraising events from planning to evaluation within budgets and objectives.
• Generate donor and fundraising reports and translate data into actionable insights.
