Job summary

ACH Child and Family Services is seeking a Development Specialist to coordinate and oversee events and projects that raise funds and awareness. You will support donor stewardship, recognition activities, and work with donors, committees, and the public.

The role requires 1–3 years in nonprofit or special events, strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills, and a detail-oriented, organized approach with the ability to multitask. Some evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent nonprofit or special event experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit, special events, or similar environment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and coordinating community engagement outreach and events, focusing on logistics.
• Support donor stewardship activities and recognition events.
• Coordinate in-kind donation needs and distributions.
• Build relationships in the community to grow engagement.
• Support mailings and digital newsletters.
• Participate in donor acquisition and renewal efforts.
• Provide support to volunteer program and data entry.
• Contribute to department events and achieve goals.
