Job summary

Versiti Blood Research Institute is seeking a Donor Specialist to perform phlebotomy and provide an exceptional donor experience. You will support a collaborative team, manage donor interactions professionally, and assist in mobile drives and cross-training as needed.

The role requires evening/weekend availability, strong communication, and adherence to SOPs. Expect ongoing training, a supportive work culture, and opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year job-related experience preferred; 1-3 years preferred.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent donor service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Takes care to provide a positive donor experience with professional, courteous service.
• May conduct automation (Alyx and/or Trima) and recruit donors for automation.
• Contributes to a positive team culture and supports coworkers.
• Maintains donor identification accuracy and completes department records.
