Versiti Blood Research Institute is seeking a Donor Specialist to perform phlebotomy and donor screening, delivering an exceptional donor experience. You will work as part of a collaborative team, promoting safety, accuracy, and professionalism in all donor interactions.

Responsibilities include donor screening, phlebotomy, donor recruitment for automation, and maintaining compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience is preferred but not required (less than 1 year).
• Customer service and donor-facing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs donor screening, mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Delivers exceptional donor experience with professional, service-oriented interactions.
• Responds to donor inquiries and requests; escalates to leadership when appropriate.
• May recruit and convert donors for automation (Alyx/Trima).
• Promotes a positive team culture and supportive employee experience.
• Maintains product integrity and properly identifies donors; completes records as needed.
• Observes donors for reactions and provides care; assists staff as needed.
• Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.
• Complies with regulatory and SOP requirements.
