Versiti Blood Research Institute in Tinley Park, IL is seeking a Donor Specialist to perform phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. You will deliver an exceptional donor experience through warm, professional, and service-oriented interactions.

You will support a collaborative team culture, follow regulatory requirements, and participate in ongoing training. The role includes shift differentials for evenings and weekends and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year job-related experience preferred.
• 1-3 years relevant people facing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of standard work routines and basic procedures.
• Ability to read SOPs, safety rules, and manuals.
• Basic math aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs donor screening, mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Provides a service-centric donor experience with professional interactions.
• May conduct automation (Alyx and/or Trima) and recruit for automation.
• Contributes to positive team culture and employee experience.
• Maintains product integrity and completes department records.
• Observes donors for reactions and provides care as needed.
• Rebooks donors for future appointment.
