Job summary

The American Red Cross in Columbus, OH, seeks a Strategic Business Planning Manager for Donor Recruitment. You’ll work with blood drive coordinators and donor groups to hit area targets and build annual sponsor programs.

You’ll develop creative strategies to attract, sell, and retain partners, provide strong communication, and help optimize scheduling and data tracking. Some travel may be required; competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training and presentation skills.
• Ability to work on a team and with internal/external partners to resolve complex business problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual and long-term sponsor partnership annual blood drive programs in assigned geography to achieve collection goals.
• Identify, develop and implement creative strategies to attract, sell, manage and retain Blood Program Leaders/Sponsor partnerships and maximize value from sponsor partnerships.
• Provide sufficient organizational and operational support to sponsor contact and maintain a high level of communication with all assigned Blood Program Leaders/Sponsors.
• Support the blood drive annual calendar build by identifying and applying appropriate methods to ensure productive scheduling of blood drives by assigned Sponsors.
• Keep abreast of assigned geography and apply that knowledge to servicing Sponsor groups and market penetration.
• Maintain accurate system records and provide tracking and data on Sponsor group performance.
• Ensure tools, technology, and strategy provided by the organization are fit for purpose and identify opportunities for improvement.
