Job summary

The American Red Cross in California is seeking a dynamic sponsorship and blood drive program lead to plan and execute annual and long-term blood drive initiatives. You will develop partnerships, manage sponsors, and coordinate with volunteers to meet collection goals.

You will analyze local demographics, stay ahead of market trends, and provide strong communication and operational support to sponsor groups. Travel may be required as part of building and sustaining critical community programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze historical data and forecast trends.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual and long-term sponsor partnership blood drive programs to reach collection goals.
• Identify and implement strategies to attract, sell, and retain Blood Program Leaders/Sponsor partnerships.
• Provide organizational and operational support to sponsor contacts and maintain communication with all assigned Blood Program Leaders/Sponsors.
• Support the blood drive calendar by scheduling drives with sponsors.
• Stay informed about geography demographics, markets, and competition to guide sponsor servicing.
• Maintain records and provide tracking data on sponsor group performance.
• Ensure tools and strategies are fit for purpose and identify improvement opportunities.
