Job summary

March of Dimes, a leading nonprofit focused on maternal and child health, seeks a Donor Development Manager to drive revenue growth through donor relationships, campaigns, and volunteer leadership in the San Diego market.

Reporting to the Associate Director or Director of Donor Development, this role builds strategic partnerships, stewarding supporters and mobilizing volunteers to advance mission impact while ensuring CRM data integrity and analytics-backed decision making.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to plan and execute successful fundraising campaigns and events.
• Peer-to-peer campaign experience.
• Proven success in cultivating and securing major and planned gifts.
• Proven success in cultivating and securing corporate partnerships.
• Demonstrated ability to work and cultivate relationships across sectors and communities.
• Proven success in recruiting and retaining high-level volunteer leaders and board members.
• Experience creating content for social media and email marketing to support donor engagement.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Mission Leadership and Impact: Place mission at the forefront, translate advocacy into impact, engage supporters, and demonstrate leadership that mobilizes volunteers and builds partnerships.
• Diversified Revenue Portfolio: Execute best-in-class fundraising events, grow donor revenue, identify corporate partners, and maintain a year-round revenue pipeline.
• Volunteer Leadership: Identify, recruit, and steward qualified volunteer leaders; engage supporters year-round; activate candidates for volunteer roles.
