Job summary

HonorBridge, Inc. is seeking a Family Support Coordinator to serve as a trusted resource for donor families during crisis, loss, and uncertainty. You will provide emotional support, education, and coordination with hospital staff and donation teams to honor the loved one’s wishes.

You’ll work independently, travel to partner hospitals, and advocate for families through the donation process while offering bereavement resources and compassionate, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in counseling, ministry, social work, psychology, grief support, or related field.
• Ability to support individuals and families during crisis, trauma, loss, or significant life transitions.
• Strong communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel to hospitals and adapt to extended donation processes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referral notifications and assess family support needs with clinical teams.
• Establish relationships with hospital staff and healthcare teams to coordinate services.
• Explain medical information and donation processes to families with empathy and clarity.
• Serve as the primary support person for donor families throughout the donation journey.
• Maintain accurate documentation of family interactions and case activity.
