Job summary

LifeCenter Northwest is seeking a Donor Family Services Coordinator to lead compassionate organ donation conversations and guide families through complex decisions. You will work with hospital teams, support families through grief, and secure authorization for donation while traveling within the regional zone.

The role requires on-call shifts, strong communication, and adherence to donor processes, with a focus on integrity, collaboration, service, and courage.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in clinical assessment, intervention, crisis response, or trauma.
• Ability to fulfill on-call schedule and travel requirements.
• Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care and understanding of grief, end-of-life, and trauma on nervous system regulation.
• Ability to work with diverse families/LNOK through organ donation process.

Responsibilities

• Lead donation conversations with families to support authorization for donation.
• Provide on-site response to hospitals across WA, AK, MT, and N ID.
• Educate potential donor’s LNOK about donation options and donor designation.
• Collaborate with LifeCenter team to support patient’s registered donation decision.
• Work with families experiencing acute grief, crisis and trauma.
• Complete authorization paperwork with LNOK and disclose donation process.
• Conduct medical and social history questionnaire related to the donor.
• Coordinate with hospital staff, donation agencies and LifeCenter personnel.
