Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a part-time Retail Donor Specialist - Materials Handler Associate in Shelbyville, TN. You will ensure a positive donor experience while safely receiving and moving donated merchandise, supporting backroom operations and DEC activities.

You will handle loading/unloading, operate forklifts or pallet jacks as trained, and maintain safe, efficient workflows in a high-volume setting. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, donation intake, production, warehouse, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to balance donor interactions with operational and backroom responsibilities.
• Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a GREAT donor experience by greeting donors, providing receipts, and thanking donors.
• Move, load, unload, and stage donated goods including trailers and trucks; operate equipment as trained.
• Follow safety guidelines and keep backroom areas organized and hazard-free.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
