Job summary

Goodwill Industries Tennessee is seeking a Retail Donor Specialist - Materials Handler Associate in Columbia to deliver a positive donor experience while safely receiving, handling, and moving donated merchandise through backroom operations.

You will engage donors, assist with unloading, load trailers, operate equipment, and maintain a safe, efficient workflow in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, donation intake, production, warehouse or customer-facing roles preferred but not required.
• Ability to balance donor service with backroom responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a GREAT donor experience, greet donors, provide receipts, and thank donors.
• Receive donated goods following safety and operational guidelines.
• Load/unload and stage donated goods and trailers per safety standards.
• Operate material handling equipment as trained (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Maintain clean, organized backroom areas and support daily workflow.
