Job summary

Goodwill Houston in Houston, TX is seeking a Donor Acquisition Specialist to manage donor interactions at the Attended Donation Center, including greeting donors, processing donations, and issuing receipts.

You will provide customer service, maintain records, and coordinate with Transportation and leadership. High school diploma preferred; flexible schedule and reliable transportation are important.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Poses excellent customer service skills.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet each donor to accept donations with a cheerful and pleasant disposition.
• Perform GRATIS when accepting donations: GREET, RECEIPT, ASSIST, THANK, INVITE, SORT.
• Provide excellent customer service, show appreciation to donors, and invite them to return.
• Collect donations using donation carts and sort them into categories.
• Maintain accurate records of donations and issue completed donation receipts to all donors.
• Communicate clearly with supervisor and Transportation Department and other leadership.
• Assist with keeping production supplies available.
• Load/unload donations and equipment as needed.
• Assist with security and safety of team members and property.
• Perform necessary janitorial work.
• Report all incidents and injuries promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a friendly attitude.
• Multi-task, adapt to change, and work in a team environment.
• Follow policies, safety regulations, and guiding principles.
• Be punctual and maintain attendance.
