Job summary

NMDP is seeking a Donor Engagement Specialist to contact and engage donors on the registry, assess eligibility, and coordinate donor health screening and testing logistics. The role emphasizes high-quality customer service and accurate documentation while upholding confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include locating donors, educating them about the donation process, and updating records in STAR Link and Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MS Office, basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills.
• Ability to ask probing questions and manage high-volume call center interactions.
• Advanced internet research skills including familiarity with social media.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or health care related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Locates donors using recruitment data and updated contact information.
• Educates donors and reinforces commitment to donation and handles barriers.
• Conducts donor health screening and coordinates lab draws and follow-up forms.
• Documents donor activity in STAR Link/Salesforce and maintains records.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with SOPs, CFRs, FDA guidance, and OSHA.
