Job summary

The Good Food Institute (GFI) is a nonprofit think tank focused on supporting alternative proteins. We are seeking a Donor Operations Coordinator to maintain gift data in Salesforce, respond to data requests, and ensure accurate donor records across Development, Finance, and programs.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of service-oriented support to fundraising or data-driven teams.
• Systems-oriented thinker who can link data pieces and propose solutions.
• Experience with data entry in Salesforce or comparable CRM.
• Strong attention to detail and high organization level.
• Clear written and verbal communication, proactive updates.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests with good prioritization.
• Self-directed work style while remaining responsive to the team.
• Availability to support year-end fundraising (longer hours in December/early January).
• Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising operations and donor management preferred.
• Experience with third-party fundraising platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for gift data inquiries from the Development, Finance, and program teams.
• Triage competing requests, set realistic timelines, and flag delays.
• Partner with Development Operations to reduce repetitive requests via processes.
• Enter donor gifts weekly into Salesforce, including checks, ACH, and non-cash gifts.
• Process third-party fundraiser gifts monthly and ensure data quality.
• Run data quality reports and resolve discrepancies before downstream impact.
• Support gift acknowledgments and update templates as needed.
• Assist with bulk data imports/updates and data reconciliation with Finance.
