Job summary

Childhelp in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Donation Processing Specialist to ensure accurate processing of gifts, reconcile donations, and maintain donor records in Raiser's Edge and our accounting system. This office-based role supports financial reporting and data integrity.

You will work at our Scottsdale headquarters, prepare official donor receipts, perform Excel analyses, and collaborate with the Development team to share donor trends while upholding strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in financial data entry, accounts receivable, or donation processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills for data analysis; experience with Raiser's Edge preferred.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships with staff, volunteers, and donors.
• Solid time management and initiative to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Gift processing & reconciliation: handle checks, credit cards, and online contributions; monitor multiple platforms.
• Data & CRM management: enter receipts in Raiser's Edge and accounting system; keep donor records current.
• Donor & team collaboration: respond to inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and update the Development team on trends.
• Reporting & compliance: prepare donor tax receipts and manage reporting calendars; adjust records as needed.
• Data analysis: use Excel to organize and reconcile financial data, ensuring data integrity.
