Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and guide them through registration to verify donor suitability for the pheresis process.
• Assist donors in completing the screening process in accordance with SOPs.
• Perform health screenings such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature; conduct finger-stick sample collection for hematocrit and total protein.
• Educate donors on the donation process, health screening tests, appointment system, center policies, and nutrition as needed.
• Register donor and transfer donors as required; answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify the supervisor if needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
