The Blood Connection is hiring a frontline donor services associate to welcome donors, verify health history, and perform donor screening and collection support. You will be the first impression of our nonprofit, delivering professional service and ensuring a safe, efficient donor experience.

Opportunities for advancement include paid on-the-job training to become a phlebotomist, with a schedule that may include weekends and varying hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers.
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Greets donors and guests, opens doors and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assesses donor eligibility through medical history, mini physical, and testing results.
• Performs donor health history and assists with collection as directed.
• Maintains storefront appearance and ensures cleanliness during hours.
• Communicates The Blood Connection values and donor experience to patrons.
• Provides reception, telephone duties, and donor collection support tasks.
• Participates in donor drives and events.
