Job summary

The Blood Connection is seeking a friendly Front Desk/Donor Services Associate to welcome donors, register health history, and perform basic assessments. This role serves as the first impression of the organization and offers paid on-the-job training to become a phlebotomist.

You will work with donors and guests, maintain a clean storefront, and provide excellent service while adapting to varied hours, including weekends. A high school diploma and customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and guests warmly and professionally to build rapport and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assess donor eligibility through medical history and screening processes and provide educational material.
• Perform donor health history and basic physical assessments and prepare materials for collection.
• Maintain storefront appearance and ensure cleanliness and inviting surroundings during operating hours.
• Communicate the donor experience and organizational values to patrons; engage donors during the donation process.
• Provide reception and telephone duties as assigned and support donor collection tasks as trained.
• Participate in donor flow optimization and assist the collections team as needed.
