Job summary

TransMedics, Inc. is seeking a Donor Assessment Coordinator to screen donor offers, evaluate clinical suitability, and coordinate communications with transplant centers and OR teams. The role emphasizes accurate documentation in EMR/OPTN systems and active participation in on-call coverage.

The position requires a nursing or related science background with transplant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment in Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Science, Biological Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience as a Transplant Coordinator or Organ Procurement Coordinator with clinical transplant background.

Responsibilities

• Screen organ offers from OPTN contractor per protocols and workflows.
• Coordinate donor assessment from clinical review to transplantation with transplant centers, OR teams and internal teams.
• Complete accurate pre- and post-transplant documentation in EMR and OPTN systems.
• Participate in minimum eight 24-hour on-call shifts per month, including holidays and weekends.
