Job summary

Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation seeks a Triage Coordinator to respond to hospital calls, collect donor data, and assess donation candidacy. The TC also manages organ allocation for donation, transplantation and research, including medical interviews with waitlisted patients and data entry for Fresh Tissue testing.

This night-shift position requires precise documentation and collaboration with OPOs, labs, surgeons, and researchers to advance donor programs with strict privacy and accuracy

Qualifications

• 3 years medical background or related training
• Completion of coursework related to Human Anatomy and Physiology
• Certifications/licensure for paraprofessional positions (EMT, CNA, etc.)
• Proficient business and technical writing skills
• Strong customer service, conflict resolution and communication skills
• Ability to type a minimum 30 wpm
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change quickly while meeting goals

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Collects relevant donor information and documents it clearly.
• Performs state donor registry checks as applicable for all potential donors.
• Maintains data entry for Fresh Tissue testing and related processes.
• Communicates with OPOs, labs, surgeons, and researchers per protocol.
• Ensures accuracy and privacy in all case documentation.
