Job summary

Children's National Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD seeks an Assistant Director of Donor Advancement & Upgrades to grow unrestricted revenue, deepen donor engagement, and lead stewardship for sustaining and mid-level annual gifts. You will manage a portfolio and collaborate with the Direct Response and Annual Giving teams to upgrade donors and cultivate major gifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• 4 years of donor relations or fundraising experience.
• Experience building donor relationships and cultivation strategies.
• Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or similar donor platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage applicable giving programs, including strategy, budget, communications, solicitations, and data tracking.
• Execute donor strategy through phone, email, mail, and face-to-face communication.
• Conduct meaningful donor touches or meetings per year.
• Renew 80% of assigned donors on an annual basis.
• Secure new or upgraded annual donors at $5,000+ annually.
• Identify Major Gifts and Planned Giving prospects for the pipeline.
• Learn about Children's National programs and communicate the mission to donors.
• Maintain professional, donor-centered conduct with donors and colleagues.
