Job summary

Advancement Project National Office in Washington, DC seeks a Development Manager for Donor Relations to lead individual giving and cultivate major donors as part of the Development Team. The role reports to the Managing Director for Development and Fundraising.

The ideal candidate will oversee donor engagement, steward revenue, and collaborate with Communications to raise support. It requires strong fundraising knowledge, organizational skills, and willingness to travel locally and nationally.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in donor relations or fundraising.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Ability to travel locally and nationally, evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of donor engagement from identification to cultivation and stewardship.
• Lead efforts to meet revenue goals through donor relations and prospect cultivation.
• Coordinate donor communications, annual reports, and solicitation materials.
• Develop and manage donor-facing campaigns and events with logistics.
