Job summary

District Alliance for Safe Housing in Washington, DC, seeks a Director, Advancement to lead fundraising and communications, partnering with the Executive Team to grow donor relations and sustainable revenue.

The role focuses on cultivating individual donors, managing strategic campaigns, and coordinating with governance and external partners; reports to the President & CEO and supervises the Development Operations team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related fundraising experience.
• Proven success in major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.
• Strong donor relationship management and engagement.
• Experience with multi-channel campaigns and communications.
• Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising initiatives and align with organizational priorities.
• Oversee outsourced fundraising partners and consultants.
• Cultivate and steward individual donors and major gift prospects.
• Support donor-focused events and annual giving.
• Manage communications with the Executive Team and stakeholders.
• Analyze donor data and report to leadership.
