Job summary

Harbor House in Orlando seeks a Donation Assistant to manage and organize in-kind donations that directly support domestic violence programs. The role supports the shelter, donors, and agency partners to ensure timely, confidential, and efficient donation operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year administrative support experience preferred; warehouse operations and transportation experience a plus.
• Licensing: Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean record for past 5 years; must be 21+ to meet agency insurance requirements.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn organization-specific software; strong writing and communication; ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of in-kind donations to support domestic violence services.
• Ensure the efficient operation of the donation center.
• Oversee logistics of Harbor House donations and donor communications.
• Coordinate donations through scheduling, loading/unloading, transporting, documenting, and organizing.
• Create and maintain inventory of all items needed for programming and donations.
• Assist with third-party and agency in-kind drives and events.
• Maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and colleagues.
• Uphold confidentiality and integrity required in a domestic violence service environment.
• Provide coverage for the shelter and its residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
