Job summary

Harbor House of Central Florida is seeking a Donation Assistant to manage the flow of in-kind donations and organize our donation center supporting domestic violence programs. You will coordinate scheduling, transportation, and inventories while maintaining donor relationships and confidentiality.

This role involves assisting with shelter coverage and participating in agency drives, ensuring efficient operations in a busy, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with partners and staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic database software.
• Ability to learn organization-specific software and content management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of in-kind donations to support domestic violence services.
• Ensure the efficient operation of the donation center.
• Oversee logistics of donations, including donor communications.
• Coordinate donations through scheduling, loading/unloading, transporting, documenting, and organizing.
• Create and maintain inventory of items needed for programming and donated goods.
• Assist with third-party and agency in-kind drives and events.
• Maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and colleagues.
• Uphold confidentiality and integrity in a shelter environment.
• Provide coverage for the shelter and its residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
