Job summary

Goodwill of Silicon Valley is seeking a Retail Donor Greeter I at our Willow Glen Store in San Jose, CA. This part-time role focuses on delivering exceptional donor and customer service, welcoming donors within seconds, processing donations, and maintaining a clean, organized donation area in line with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic arithmetic operations.
• Proficient in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Follow Current Standard Operating Procedures for Donation Process.
• Greet all donors within 15 seconds of arrival.
• Accepts donations from customers, provides physical receipts or offers digital receipts and thanks all donors.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Sorts and arranges donations in bins to go to various sorting areas.
• Discards broken, damaged, or trash items from raw hardline boxes.
• Invites customers to complete the CAP survey during interactions, maintaining professionalism.
• Coordinates with sorters to maintain continuous product flow and ensure empty boxes are available for operations.
