Job summary

Goodwill of Silicon Valley is hiring a Retail Donor Greeter I to welcome donors, process donations, and provide a positive donation experience in a fast-paced store environment. You will greet donors within 15 seconds, issue receipts, maintain a clean donation area, sort and prepare items, and work with the team to maximize donations that support our mission.

This role requires basic arithmetic, clear English communication, and the ability to follow safety procedures in a busy retail setting,

Qualifications

• Proficient in the English language.
• Knowledge of general arithmetic is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet all donors within 15 seconds of arrival.
• Accept donations from customers, provide receipts (physical or digital) and thank donors.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Sort and arrange donations in bins for processing as per procedures.
• Keep donation area clean, organized and well-maintained.
• Follow safety and operational procedures at all times.
• Invite donors to complete the CAP survey during interactions.
• Coordinate with sorters to maintain product flow and ready boxes for operations.
