Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Donation Door Attendant to greet donors, receive donations, record items, and sort them using the Kaizen system. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, safety, and adherence to procedures.

The attendant will maintain donation areas and assist with labeling and aftercare operations. Strong communication, basic math, and physical stamina are required for standing for long periods and lifting items up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail and/or stock handling experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and provide excellent customer service.
• Receive donations, record and sort them.
• Evaluate donations and communicate acceptance decisions.
• Maintain clean, safe donation areas and follow guidelines.
• Sort and label donations per guidelines and ensure safety.
• Follow PPE policies and complete required training.
