Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a friendly and dependable Donation Door Attendant to provide exceptional service to donors and support the flow of donated goods at our Punta Gorda location. This front-line role greets donors, receives and records donations, and ensures items are sorted per guidelines.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, adaptable, and ready to assist with various tasks to keep retail operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail and/or stock handling preferred.
• Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; independently lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds and team lift up to 100 pounds.
• Comfortable with standing for long periods and working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
• Able to see and recognize colors.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors warmly and receive, record, and sort donations in accordance with Kaizen guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing Goodwill as a front-line team member.
• Assist with processing, cleaning, and preparing merchandise to support efficient store operations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe donation and work areas, completing additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
