Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a part-time Donation Door Attendant to serve as a front-line ambassador, receiving, recording, and sorting donated goods per established guidelines. The role emphasizes excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe donation area.

Responsibilities include greeting donors, recording donations, providing receipts, and evaluating items. You will sort items per guidelines, manage containers and pallets, and adhere to safety protocols while supporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail and/or stock handling experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and customers with a friendly demeanor and excellent service.
• Receive donations by loading items and recording donations.
• Provide donation receipts to donors.
• Evaluate donations using guidelines and decline items politely if needed.
• Maintain clean, safe donation areas inside and outside.
• Sort donations using the Track Method and labeling guidelines.
• Sort and place items into designated containers and locations.
• Move pallets and unload storage trailers safely.
• Follow safety policies and use PPE as required.
• Perform store-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
