Job summary

New England Donor Services is seeking an Organ Donation Coordinator (ICU RN or Respiratory Therapist) to respond on-site to donor referrals, provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation and organ recovery. The role requires interaction with hospital staff and donor families to obtain consent.

You will coordinate with surgical teams and critical care staff to optimize organs for transplantation while working 40 hours per week on night shifts, with travel across New England as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years clinical/critical care experience.
• Annual influenza vaccination is required.
• Ideal candidates live within an hour of Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to organ donor referrals with clinical expertise in donor evaluation and management.
• Educate hospital staff on the donation process and coordinate with donor families for consent.
• Collaborate with multiple surgical teams and critical care staff to optimize organs for transplantation.
• Manage donor evaluation, donor management, organ allocation and organ recovery.
