Job summary

New England Donor Services (NEDS) in Lowell, MA is seeking an Organ Donation Coordinator (ICU RN or Respiratory Therapist) for 40 hours a week, days. This role involves responding on-site to donor referrals, coordinating donor management, and educating hospital staff on donation processes.

You will work with donor families and surgical teams to optimize organs for transplantation, with substantial travel across New England. Orientation for the January 2027 Donation Academy will be in Waltham, MA.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years clinical/critical care experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Ability to travel frequently within New England.

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to organ donor referrals to provide clinical expertise.
• Educate hospital staff on the donation process and consent.
• Collaborate with donor families and multiple surgical teams to optimize organs for transplantation.
• Travel extensively throughout New England with personal vehicle; mileage reimbursements available.
