Job summary

New England Donor Services (NEDS) seeks an experienced Organ Donation Coordinator (ICU RN or Respiratory Therapist) to respond on-site to donor referrals, provide clinical donor evaluation, management, allocation and recovery. The role requires travel across New England and involves on-call day shifts with substantial training in Waltham, MA and regional hospitals.

Ideal candidates will have critical care or trauma experience, a valid driver's license, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred with CPTC

Qualifications

• 3-5 years clinical experience/critical care experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance; extensive travel throughout New England
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; CPTC Certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to organ donor referrals and provide clinical donor evaluation and management
• Coordinate organ allocation and organ recovery with surgical teams
• Educate hospital staff on donation process and obtain donor consent from families
• Travel throughout New England as part of the role; on-call scheduling and trainings
