Job summary

New England Donor Services (NEDS) is seeking an experienced Donation Coordinator (ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist) to respond on-site to organ donor referrals and provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation, management, and organ recovery.

You will educate hospital staff, obtain donor consent, collaborate with surgical teams, and participate in a structured orientation with 16-hour on-call shifts. Extensive travel across New England is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years clinical or critical care experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience managing donation-related clinical events is a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to travel across New England.
• Ideal candidate lives within an hour of Lowell, MA.

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to organ donor referrals to provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation, donor management, organ allocation and organ recovery.
• Educate hospital staff on the donation process and best practices.
• Work with donor families to obtain consent for donation and coordinate with surgical teams and ICU staff.
• Participate in orientation/training programs and on-call shifts; extensive travel across New England is expected.
• Maintain compliance with NEDS policies and keep accurate documentation.
