Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Donation Attendant at the College Park store (Finance). The role involves assisting donors, pre-sorting donated goods, and ensuring proper loading of trailers.

Candidates should be prepared to greet donors, handle donations carefully, and maintain a clean work area. The position requires compliance with safety rules, background check clearance, and the ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers, internal and external.
• Assist customers with their donations by greeting every donor and helping them unload their vehicle without damaging the car.
• Accurately presort donations by category and label donations accordingly.
• Safely, efficiently and accurately load trailers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe working area for associates and customers.
• Ensure the security of company assets and report any security concerns.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures.
• Communicate with supervisor about donation area and customer issues.
• Maintain positive public image by following dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Exercise sound judgment when interacting with customers.
